A Must-Try Taco Salad Recipe for You

By itself, this is a superb recipe and needs no correction. The meat you add can depend upon your taste. You can add ground boneless chicken, ground chuck or even vegetarian meat crumbles. To make this superb salad, you will need to procure the following ingredients. Ground Chuck/Boneless Chicken

 

Vegetarian meat crumbles - 1 lb

 

Milk - 1 cup

 

Garlic Powder - 1 tbsp

 

Chili Powder - 1 tbsp

 

Cumin - 2 tbsp

 

Salt & Pepper - to taste

 

Tortilla Chips (crushed) - 1 packet

 

Minced Garlic - 1 tbsp

 

Taco Cheese (shredded) - 1 packet

 

Hidden Valley Ranch dressing mix - 1 packet

 

Mayonnaise - 1 cup

 

Tomatoes (diced) - 3 large

 

Red/sweet onion (diced) - 1 Medium

 

Lettuce (chopped) - 1

 

Once you have the ingredients, follow the steps below for a wonderful taco salad.

 

1) Firstly, cook the meat for about 5-10 minutes. Take some oil in a pan and cook the meat with the seasonings. Add garlic powder, cumin, chili powder, salt and pepper. Cook for about 10 minutes until the meat cooks well.

 

2) In a big bowl, mix all the veggies. Toss them well with the minced garlic.

 

3) In another medium-sized bowl, mix the mayonnaise, milk and the Hidden Valley Ranch dressing. Set this aside.

 

4) Crush the tortilla chips in the bag itself. Open up a little end of the bag and using a rolling pin; lightly crush the chips in the same bag.

 

5) Add the shredded cheese and the chips to the big bowl of veggies. Mix them up well. Then add the meat and the dressing and mix again.

 

Even children can make this salad under supervision of elders, of course. This salad, when ready, looks colorful with the greens of lettuce, reds of tomatoes, white from mayonnaise and cheese. It is juicy because of the added meat. The crunch of the chips makes every bite deliciously crunchy. There you have your bowl of some fantastic taco salad recipe, ready to be over within minutes!
