Veggie Food Near You

The UK’s best veggie tables.

A small, honest, hand-picked list — not a directory. A handful of genuinely brilliant places worth the trip.

These are our curated picks — always check opening times and the menu on the restaurant’s own site before you go.

How I Rate

I’m an engineer, not a chef.

So I don’t pretend my tongue is a laboratory. I read the data and call out the marketing — four checks, every product.

01

Read the label

Off the pack, not the press release.

02

Compare the numbers

Protein and calories, like for like.

03

Spot the catch

Vegan, or just veggie with egg in it?

04

Call it straight

Plain English, marketing stripped out.

Questions answered

The honest answers.

Which plant-based sausage has the most protein?

Linda McCartney Vegetarian Sausages lead at ~18.6g per 100g, then Beyond (~16g) and THIS (~14.4g). Richmond is lowest at ~6.4g. Always check the current pack.

Are Quorn sausages Vegan?

No. Standard Quorn sausages contain egg white, so they’re vegetarian, not Vegan. Quorn discontinued its Vegan sausages.

Do you actually taste-test the products?

No — and I won’t pretend to. I compare the publicly available facts honestly and flag anything to verify on the pack. No faked “I tried it and loved it” reviews.

How do you pick the restaurants?

A small, honest, hand-picked list of genuinely good UK veggie and Vegan places — not a paid directory. Always check their own site for current details.
